A fascinating lot of 30 private wartime photos from the estate of a Kriegsmarine sailor who performed part of his service on the battleship Scharnhorst, including postcard size studio portraits of the owner in a classic Kriegsmarine dark blue uniform (one with the Minesweeper War Badge edited into the image during development), with additional images of personnel on deck during extreme winter conditions as the Scharnhorst
