Germany, Wehrmacht. A Heer Issue Narvik Campaign Shield Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic Class Award Document(Narvikschild). Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised propeller, anchor, and edelweiss, symbolizing the Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, and Gebirgsjger (Heer) respectively. It is topped by the date "1940," the inscription "NARVIK," and a German national eagle perched atop a wreathed swastika. The reverse cloth backer added replaced after the war, the shield measures 42. 1mm (w) x 90. 7mm (l), overall in very
