American Arts and Crafts Tile of a Turtle and Baby Mosaic Tile Company Circa 1960'sA charming one of a kind hand made tile depicts a tortoise with its baby coming out from an egg. The image is deeply carved, the brick red background and one side is stippled with a stiff brush. There are two manufactured holes for mounting. Measures 6 1 2" tall, 6" wide and 3 4" thick. Very good original condition. Some glaze has flaked off in the white portions of the shell. I purchased a few of these animal related tiles years ago in Florida.
