I gave the plant this name because the leaves remind me of ships going to warp on sci-fi shows

Plant goes dormant periodically so don't worry if the leaves die off

This species is noted for its long spines. They aren't that long yet but as the plant matures the new spines will get consistently longer. Flowers are pink and produced throughout the growing season. Mature plants can be 5" or more in diameter and may form clumps in time. This species is included in M. mystax by some botanists. Takes normal cactus care.
