It starts out globular and stays that way for a long time before slowly becoming slightly columnar (remember it stays pretty small)

Too much summer water can cause spotting or even rot

but I haven't found them particularly difficult to grow under regular Lithops care

This grape relative is an amazing caudiciform with big green glossy leaves. The caudex is fat with peeling white to brownish skin or bark. A mature caudex can reach 2' tall by 1' wide as a pot grown plant. In warm, dry climates like California this can even be a landscape plant eventually reaching upwards of 5' tall and 2 3' wide at the base! Easy to grow. Likes a fair amount of water during the summer (try not to
