The plants show the strong ribbing of A. capricorne, as well as the spines in some plants. It also has the sea urchin shape of A. asterias. Because these are first generation hybrids (i. e. not a cross that has stabilized after many generations) every plant is unique. They share common traits but each one is different from the other. Some look more
