Antique Portait Painting on Bone in Bakelite Case, 1830 Findeisen's FarmsHere is an incredible little original portrait painted on bone. Unfortunately the portrait is extremely worn, to the point that only the subject's dress and hair remain. However, it is still a lovely antique curio and an important piece of artistic tradition. The painting is cased in a gilt tin frame that sits in a hinged Bakelite case. The back of the photo identifies the subject as Aunt Sarah Brown nee Price as painted in 1830. It further states
