Angel Tile by AETCO American Encaustic Art Pottery Yei Made from a thick redThis massive tile by the American Encaustic Tile Company, AETCO, of Zanesville Ohio was made at the beginning of the 20th Century. The deeply carved image shows an angel, its hands clasped in prayer. The blue wings are covered in a lustrous glaze. The image is framed in a checkered border. Possibly meant for a church these large tiles are extremely rare. It measures 13 1 2" square and 3" thick and weighs 25 pounds. The back has an early impressed
