It comes from Maharashtra state on the west coast of India. It is carved from teak wood. It's clear to see this item was hand carved and painted with passion. All the pigments used are mineral and earth pigments. This corbel depicts a stylised parrot with the neck emerging from finely carved teak wood. We have mounted this piece on a base
