The dams were created around 1900 to supply water to Birmingham via a 75 mile long aqueduct. This print is based on a photograph taken whilst the dam was overtopping after a period of heavy rain. Reduction prints are created by the repeated carving, inking & printing of a single linoleum block. This process results in the destruction of the block. This is an original, handprinted
