from turquoise blue at the top to dappled purple near the base

It is a Raku piece and should be cared for differently to the other dishes

Grey Sgraffito Carved Planter jar This planter was thrown onThis planter was thrown on the pottery wheel and a grey slip was added. When it was dry enough to handle, the design was carved away using the sgraffito technique, revealing the dark brown clay underneath. It was finished by glazing with a clear coat, then fired in the kiln at 2170F. The clay is a dark brown black ceramic stoneware. H: 4. 5" W: 6. 5" D: 6. 75"
